Charlie has been active in the paddling community as a paddler, gear designer, educator, conservation advocate, and mentor to many. His numerous awards and recognition include American Whitewater’s Legacy Award, ACA’s Legends of Paddling Award, International Whitewater Hall of Fame, and National Safe Boating Council Hall of Fame.
